Denon has announced the two new AV Receivers – AVR-X1400H and AVR-X2400H. The “H” letter indicates the support for built-in HEOS technology allows you to stream your favorite music wirelessly around your home to any HEOS speaker, and Denon multi-room support.
Both models can handle up to 7.2 channels: Denon AVR-X1400H delivers 80W per channel (8 ohms, 20 Hz – 20 kHz, 0.08% 2 channels drive) while AVR-X2400H has a power of 95W for each (8 ohms, 20 Hz – 20 kHz, 0:08% 2 channels drive).
All major audio formats are supported: Dolby TrueHD, DTS-HD Master Audio, Dolby Atmos and DTS: X. In Dolby Atmos, you can manage configurations up to 5.2.2 channels. The video section offers HDMI 2.0a inputs with HDCP 2.2, compatible with Ultra HD resolution at a 60Hz signal, HDR10, Dolby Vision and HLG (Hybrid-Log Gamma). Connectivity includes Ethernet, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth. They also support DLNA and AirPlay.
Both also support a Local Area Network and USB so you can play various audio files such as MP3, WMA, FLAC, AAC, WAV, AIFF and DSD up to 5,6MHz. Both also feature the Audyssey MultEQ XT room acoustic measurement system. With the supplied microphone, it exactly analyses each speaker’s output to optimize each channel.
The connections available include 6 inputs (one front) and 1 HDMI output on X1400H, 8 inputs (1 front) and 2 outputs on X2400H, 2 analog audio inputs on RCA on X1400H and 4 inputs on X2400H, 2 inputs and 1 composite video output, 2 optical inputs, a front USB port and an Ethernet port. On X2400H are added 2 inputs and 1 component output and output to manage a Zone 2.
