Dell has refreshed tablet versions of its Dell Venue 8 Pro 5000 series the Dell Venue 8 Pro 5855 tablet with more powerful processors and latest software upgrades to give tough competition in the Windows tablet market. Both the Dell Venue Pro 5000 Series tablets now come with Windows 10 operating system and enhanced specifications.
The new Venue 8 Pro 5000 2016 variant features a 8.0-inch display with Full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, screen resolution upgraded from WXGA 1280 x 800 pixels. Both variants run on the powerful a quad-core Intel Atom x5-Z8500 SoC clocked at 1.44GHz (up to 2.24GHz) – a nice improvement over Intel AtomTM Z3745D SoC clocked at 1.83GHz Quad Core Processor.
Dell Venue 8 Pro 5000 price listed on its official website around $449 for the base version. Dell Venue 8 Pro 5855 also feature the latest USB Type-C port; 4GB of RAM, and 64GB of native storage along with external microSD card slot to add more memory up to 128GB.
The Dell Venue 8 5855 Tablet also comes equipped with a 5-megapixel rear camera and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. For connectivity front, includes Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Miracast, NFC, Bluetooth 4.0 and MicroUSB options. It packs a 19.5WHr Lithium Ion battery, and runs 64-bit Windows 10 Pro and Home version.
Last year, Dell also unveiled the Venue 10 Pro specs, Dell Venue 10 Pro 5000 with a 10.1-inch display with Full HD resolution of 1920×1200 pixels; support external keyboard; 4GB LPDDR3 RAM; 64GB ROM can be expanded to 128GB via MicroSD card; Intel HD Graphics 5300; 2MP front and 8MP rear camera; 4G LTE connectivity; USB Typ-C and 32WHr Lithium Ion battery.
