Months after being a mid-range model in the smartphone market, the Huawei Mate SE has now received a temporary price cut of $20 that makes it an even more interesting option. The new discount, which is offered on Amazon.com online store, has brought the Huawei Mate SE price down to $229.99. The smartphone was originally launched in USA last month with a price tag of $249.99.

The Huawei Mate SE features a 5.93-inch IPS display with Full HD+ (2160 x 1080 pixels) resolution, 18:9 aspect ratio and a 2.5D curved glass layer on top of it. The device has a metal unibody design and it is powered by a 2.36 GHz octa-core processor which fueled by Kirin 659 processor paired with Mali-T830 MP2 GPU. It packs a 4GB of RAM and 64GB of inbuilt storage which can be expanded via microSD card up to 256GB.
On the camera front, the Mate SE flaunts a dual rear camera setup including 16-megapixel + 2-megapixel camera sensors with LED flash. The secondary sensor on this device is used for calculating the depth in the image for offering better Bokeh effect. It has an 8-megapixel front-facing camera with gestures selfie support.
The handset comes equipped with a rear fingerprint sensor to unlock the device quickly, it also houses Histen sound algorithm to offer 3D surround sound. The device is also IP67 certified, making it water and dust resistant.
The device runs on Android 7.1 Nougat -based on Huawei EMUI 5.1 out of the box. It packs a 3,340mAh non-removable battery that is claimed to deliver standby time up to 22 days and talk time up to 21 hours.
