Cubot P12 with Android 5.1, 5.0-inch Display and 8MP Camera goes Official

China is well known to produce inexpensive smartphones. Despite low prices not everything is cheap. A new smartphone from Cubot named P12 is also entered in this segment which has been priced at only $100 with a fairly good specifications. Frankly speaking, flagship smartphones always attract attention, but they are not inexpensive and not everyone willing to being part of it. So for whom who have not to spend so much bucks to buy new smartphone, Cubot P12 is a perfect device for them.

The Cubot P12 is available in black and white color variants, it is the successor of Cubot P11, which was launched a few months ago and on the shelves of online stores. The P12 features a 5.0-inch IPS 2.5D curved glass display with HD 720×1280 pixels resolution that can rated to translate a pixel density of 294ppi. It is fueled by a 1.3 GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6580 64-bit processor along with Mali-400MP GPU. It packs a 1GB of RAM and 16GB of native storage that can be expanded up to 32GB with the help of microSD card.

The handset bears an 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and autofocus (interpolated 13MP). It shoots Full HD 1080p videos. On the front, there is a 5-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies and video calling (interpolated 8MP). It also sports a Gesture Sensing feature to control the device more comfortably.

The Cubot P12 runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop OS and packs in a 2200mAh battery that can easily last for a whole day under moderate usage. It measures 143.9 x 71.5 x 8.1 mm and 165 grams. It has a metal frame with plastic rear cover.

In recent days, Cubot continuously releasing budget to mid-range smartphones such as X15, X16, and just launched X17.
