CMX introduced a new affordable smartphone competitor in the budget price range, dubbed as CMX 11, which comes with Android 5.1 Lollipop and some admirable hardware. The CMX 11 is a slightly downgrade in screen size when compared to its successor CMX 10 was launched last year.
The display size is 5.0-inches with qHD resolution of 960 x 540 pixels. It has 2.5D curved glass display that we have seen on budget Android devices. IPS panel with qHD resolution is more responsive and sharp. The handset is powered by a 1.3 GHz quad-core processor which is fueled by MediaTek MT6580 chipset paired with 1GB of RAM, and Mali-400MP GPU. It packs in 8GB of internal storage and it is further expandable by up to 32GB via microSD card.
Camera features are also fantastic in this price segment when its comes with an 8-megapixel autofocus camera with dual LED flash and 2.0-megapixel front camera for video calling with front LED flash for low light photography. Software uses its own customized UI on top of Android 5.1 Lollipop. CMX 11 also supports Dual SIM functionality, which is a much demanded trait in the current market.
On the connectivity front, includes 3G, WiFi 802.11a/b/g/n, GPS, A-GPS, Bluetooth 4.0, HotKnot, Micro USB 2.0 and 3.5mm audio jack options. Battery capacity is 1800mAh, which sounds average. The device also features a G-sensor, Light sensor and Proximity sensor. It measures 139 x 69 x 8 mm and weighs only 125 grams.
CMX 11 will compete with devices like BLU Dash M2, BLU Advance 5.0 HD, Doogee X5 Max, Homtom HT17, Bluboo Picasso, OUKITEL U7 and more.
