Polaroid is celebrating its eightieth business anniversary with the announcement of Polaroid Pop – a new instant camera able to print photos from 7.62 x 10.16 cm with classic white borders at CES 2017.
The Polaroid Pop features a 3.97-inch touchscreen LCD display for framing shots and navigating the camera’s menu. It has a 20-megapixel CMOS sensor and dual LED flash to capture bright and high quality images. The Pop also sports image stabilization, as well as able to record full HD (1080p) video at 30fps. All images and video are stored on a micro SD card (up to 128GB).
Other features of this Digital Polaroid Instant Camera include the Polaroid print application, users can also edit and enhance their prints with a number of creative filters, digital stickers, effects and controls. There is also a timer for selfie shots and three color modes like black and white, and vintage sepia effect. Polaroid Pop can easily connect to your mobile devices using a Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity. Once again, consumers will have an all-in-one solution for capturing and sharing images on-the-go.
The Polaroid Pop instant camera uses the revolutionary ink-free Zero Ink Printing technology developed by ZINK. The ZINK-enabled printer uses heat to activate and colorize cyan, yellow and magenta dye crystals embedded in the paper. The 3×4” photo prints in just under a minute so consumers can instantly share the photo with their friends and family.

Polaroid Pop will be available in 4th quarter of this year, Pricing and availability have yet to be unveiled by the company.
