Asus has officially announced its new ultrabook at CES 2017 – the ZenBook 3 Deluxe UX490, an improved version of the previous model back in May at Computex 2016 (ZenBook 3), both looks similar from the outside from, but the Asus ZenBook 3 Deluxe comes with a larger display in the same size of the chassis.
New ZenBook 3 Deluxe features a 14-inch display with Full-HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) resolution and the laptop made of aluminum chassis with thin bezels of the display to squeeze this screen inside a smaller form factor. It has an ultra-narrow-bezel display is 12.9mm-slim and weighs 1.1kg. It also features quad-speaker from Harman Kardon audio.
The processor is latest seventh generation an Intel Core i7 Kaby Lake, up to 16GB of 2133MHz LPDDR3 RAM, an SSD up to 1TB interfaced via PCI Express (PCIe), three USB 3.1 type C ports, two of which are also compatible with the standard Thunderbolt 3 with support for 40Gbps data transfers, and support for up to two 4K UHD external displays connected simultaneously.
The ZenBook 3 Deluxe is also equipped with a backlit full-sized keyboard, glass precision trackpad that comes with an integrated fingerprint reader which is placed on the top right corner. Despite the fact that the new laptop display resolution is the same as that of the original model, experts believe that upset about it not worth it, because this fact may have a positive impact on battery life. So the battery life should stay similar up to 10 hours as the previous model.
Asus ZenBook 3 Deluxe price is set to $1,699 in USA, and it will be available royal blue and quartz grey colors starting from May 2017.
