Canon launches new Selphy Square QX10 Small Printer for Mobile Printing

Canon announces its new small printer called Selphy Square QX10, alongside the Rebel T8i DSLR and RF 24-105mm STM lens. A newcomer to the Selphy series range of mobile printers, it primarily targets creative lovers of artistic leisure and Instagram users.

In recent years, we are seeing more and more small printers, intended for the rapid mobile printing of small photos. Your photos stored on a mobile device can be quickly printed.

With its unique and colorful look (4 colors available), the new Selphy Square QX10 canon wireless printer can print small photos in square format. For this, it uses the new Canon XS-20L format paper, for printing in a 6.8 x 6.8 cm format.

The small picture printer is first of all completely mobile. It contains an integrated battery that recharges very quickly via USB. Its Wi-Fi connectivity allows you to make prints directly from your smartphone, via the free Canon print inkjet/selphy app.

Its dimensions are very small (10.22 x 14.33 x 3.1 cm excluding protrusions). It will easily fit in a handbag for example. It also weighs 445 grams when empty.

The free Canon print app SELPHY Photo Layout is available for iOS and Android. It allows drawing the full potential of this thermal sublimation printer. To connect the small printer to your smartphone, a QR code system makes pairing quick and intuitive.

The application allows you to access the photos stored on your smartphone or tablet. You can then apply various creative effects as desired. Whether it’s filters, stamp effects, framing or cropping, everything is managed directly from the application.

The Selphy Square QX10 manages 256 shades per primary color for a total potential of 16.7 million colors. As this is a printer using thermal sublimation technology, there are no ink tanks to change, and no paper cassette. Mobile printing a photo in high quality (287 x 287 dpi) takes 43 seconds.

The self-adhesive papers XS-20L allow a wide choice of creative uses. You can decorate everyday objects, your interior, make photo journals, or even decorate your phone shell.

The protective film present in the image makes the prints resistant to both humidity and dust. And the prints produced not only do not tear but also have protection against discoloration announced by Canon for 100 years.

Another interesting element, the presence of margins allows you to write captions and comments on your photos. If the printed surface is 6.8 x 6.8 cm, the paper size is indeed 7.2 cm x 8.5 cm.

The Canon Selphy Square QX10 will be available in 4 colors: Black, White, Pink, and Green, it will be supplied with an ink cassette, a sample of sticker paper, its user manual, and an adapter USB Micro B to USB Type-A connector.
