After listing at the Indiegogo fundraising website back in July this year, Canon officially launches the IVY REC small digital camera, which is now available to pre-order in US.
The Canon IVY REC small camera has been priced at $129.99 and it can be pre-ordered through Bhphotovideo.com and shipping will start from October 20. It comes in three colors: Avocado, Dragonfruit, and Riptide.
These are compact digital cameras without any display, designed for outdoor enthusiasts and documenting their adventures. The highlights of these small digital cameras aren’t lying only in its specifications, but also in the methods chosen by Canon – the world’s leading manufacturer according to the latest data – to carry it out.
This is an extremely compact and essential pocket camera, able to communicate with the dedicated CanonMini Cam app that will have to be installed on a smartphone. This allows you to see in real-time what is framed, otherwise, you can take advantage of the rectangular viewfinder at the end of the cam.
This also turns into a clip, allowing the IVY REC to be hooked to clothes, objects, and animals, perhaps to capture something from their point of view. It features a 13-megapixel 1/3-inch CMOS sensor capable of recording 1080 / 60p video.
There is also no lack of water resistance (1 meter for 3 minutes), an anti-shock, Bluetooth and WiFi connectivity. On the back of this small digital camera, we find a rotating wheel that allows you to quickly change how to use, even if the adjustments of the various options must be made from a smartphone, while in the lower part there is a connector for the classic tripods.
