Canon EOS 7D mark II firmware, Digital Photo Professional, EOS Utility and Picture Style Editor Update

Today, Canon has officially released a series of firmware and image editing application updates.

Specifically, the Canon EOS 7D mark II receives the firmware update v1.04 improved menu interface, and fixes the compatibility bug with some lenses. In addition to support applications such as image processing Digital Photo Professional manual DPP, EOS Utility and Picture Style Editor is also updated with this batch.

Canon EOS 7D mark II new firmware 1.04 update:

• Unstable autofocus mode fixed at 100mm focal length when used with the EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS II USM lens.
• Fixed a problem when shooting in AI Servo AF mode, the Anti-flicker shoot function being set to “Enable”
• Picture Style setting error correction when shooting in C1, C2, C3
• Fixed a bug, the first photograph taken from Live View mode will not have true information about the date and time.
• Fixed a bug, image noise may appear in JPEG images when brightness or contrast is corrected by the Auto Lighting Optimizer function.

Digital Photo Professional update 4.2.31:

• Supports EOS 5DS, EOS 5DS R.
• Supports Auto mode: White priority function in the “White balance” setting.
• Add new Picture Style “Fine Detail” (does not work with EOS M3)
• Add a tool to adjust the layout (only available in 64-bit versions)
• Add HDR tool (only available in 64-bit versions)

Canon EOS Utility 3.2.20 update:

• Support EOS 5DS, EOS 5DS R

Picture Style Editor 1.15.20 update:

• Supports EOS 5DS, EOS 5DS R.
• Supports Auto mode: White priority function in the “White balance” setting.
• Add “Fine Detail” to the “Base Picture Style”, Only images shot on cameras with [Fine Detail] preset as a Picture Style
• You can change the maximum or minimum Tone Curve output
