Bose Home Speaker 500, Soundbar 700 and 500 With Alexa Voice Assistant Announced

Bose announced the new Smart Speaker has called Home Speaker 500 and two new Soundbars named Soundbar 500 and 700 – dedicated to listening to music and home theater. These are three products that support Amazon’s Alexa voice assistant and will receive AirPlay 2 functionality in early 2019.

Bose Home Speaker 500, Soundbar 500 and Soundbar 700 can be used together or even separately, have WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity and allow you to access your favorite music, as well as receive information from connected device and control devices with your voice. They all integrate the proprietary eight-microphones technology already seen on the newer Bose headphones, which allows commands to be sent correctly even from a distance and with high background noise.

Bose Home Speaker 500

Bose Home Speaker 500 is made of anodized aluminum and is particularly compact – 20.3×10.2cm. The two drivers pointing in opposite directions allowing the sound to reflect on the walls of the room, distinguishing the different instruments and the voice of the artist you are listening to, all without distortion. The device can be controlled either by a smartphone or directly using the buttons on the upper part. There is also a small display (not touch) that shows the album cover.

Bose Soundbar 500

The new Bose Soundbar 500 uses the company’s mic technology that is present in its headsets and headphones. It helps the devices to hear commands better over louder listening levels. It comes with Bluetooth and Wi-Fi support and said to deliver tens of thousands of skills for information, entertainment, smart home control, and more.

The Soundbar 500 measures 1.75x4x31-inch and features a subtle matte finish. It uses the company’s ADAPTiQ technology that helps the devices to “acoustically adjust to their surroundings”, and HDMI Audio Return Channel (ARC) for compatibility with future technology. It can be wall-mounted or expanded with a wireless bass module and rear speakers “for a full 5.1 experience.”

Bose Soundbar 700

Bose Soundbar 700 measures 5×10,2×96,5cm, is characterized by curved lines and has a metal grille and a tempered glass top. With Bose PhaseGuides it is possible to send multiple channels of a song in the surrounding space, while the Bose DSP custom transducers and the QuietPort technology allow reaching an excellent sound depth with high details. Bose Soundbar 700 also has a universal remote control to control the TV.

The Home Speaker 500 price has been set at $399.95. While the Soundbar 500 and Soundbar 700 cost $549.95 and $799.95 respectively. All these new Bose products will be available beginning this October.
