Bang & Olufsen, a cornerstone of premium audio and elegant designs, expanding its wireless speaker range by unveiling B&O Play Beoplay M3 wireless multi-room speaker.
B&O Play makes its products with the idea of appealing to the younger, upwardly mobile professionals that desire premium aesthetics along with premium performance. Like Beoplay M5, the Beoplay M3 lives up to that image.
At just over 5.94-inches tall, 4.4-inches wide, and weighing in at a 1.46 kg, the Beoplay M3 is meant to sit among other decorations and furniture in the home. The build quality exudes a premium feel. From the top anodized aluminum housing to the woven fabric for the speaker grill, the M3 looks the part.
For sound; The 3.75-inch 40-watt woofer sends out smooth sounding tones, while the 40-watt tweeter brings about remarkable clarity. The Beoplay M3 can play music via Wi-Fi or Bluetooth, and it’s the latter that allows for multi-room streaming. You can also connect other Bang & Olufsen or B&O Play Beoplay speakers to setup complete system.
The top of the M3 is built with a buttery fluid action in its movement to turn the volume up or down. Twisting the disk up to 15-degrees in either direction responds with a smooth return to neutral. Chromecast is built in, as is Apple Airplay and Spotify Connect. This Wireless Speaker is also compatible with Amazon’s Alexa so you can use an Echo Dot to play your music and communicate with Alexa through your speaker.
Anyone with even a passing knowledge of Bang and Olufsen speakers knows such pretty looks and performance do not come cheap. The Beoplay M3 price is $299, $199 cheaper than Beoplay M5 and now is available to buy from Amazon.com in two Natural and Black color options.
