Blu Studio J1 3G Entry-Level Smartphone With 4-Inch Display Launched

Even though most smartphone manufacturers are currently focused on creating 4G devices, Blu still seems to believe that there are takers for 3G smartphones, at least in the under $50 segment. The company has launched the Blu Studio J1 3G smartphone, listed with full specifications on its official website, but the price of the device not yet disclosed.

Blu Studio J1 Specifications

The dual-SIM smartphone runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow and sports a 4-inch WVGA (480×800 pixels) display that can translate a pixel density of 233ppi. It is powered by a 1.3GHz dual-core MTK 6570 SoC coupled with Mali-400 GPU and 512MB of RAM. The Blu Studio J1 comes with an inbuilt storage of 8GB, which is expandable via microSD card up to 64GB.

In terms of optics, the smartphone comes with a 5.0-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and 2.0-megapixel front-facing camera also paired with front LED flash to capture bright and stunning selfies.

It measures 121.5 x 62.5 x 10.3 mm and weighs 135 grams. The Studio J1 packs a 1350mAh battery, and the back panel of the device has a special matte and polished finished effect that gives you a perfect grip. In terms of connectivity, the smartphone provides options like 3G connectivity, WiFi 802.11b/g/n, Hotspot, Bluetooth 4.1, FM Radio, USB 2.0, and 3.5mm headphone jack.

The Blu Studio J1 will be available in Blue, Black, and White colors.

The company launched its smartphone Blu Grand X LTE with 4G LTE support last week at $109.99. It runs Android 7.0 Nougat our-of-the-box, 8MP rear autofocus camera and a 5MP front camera with front LED flash. It sports a 5.5-inch 2.5D curved HD display and is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor that’s fueled by the MediaTek MT6580 chipset and coupled with Mali-400 GPU and 1GB of RAM.
