Blu S1 With 5.2-inch Display, 13MP Camera, Android Nougat Announced

After listed on a Sprint retail website, Blu has finally announced the S1 smartphone in its all new “Blu S” series. The big highlight is its metal design, fingerprint sensor, and the fact that the smartphone runs on Android 7.0 Nougat. The smartphone has now officially listed on the company’s website with full specifications.

The Blu S1 features a 5.2-inch IPS LCD display with HD (720 x 1280 pixels) resolution and a 2.5D curved glass layer on top of it. The device has a metal frame design and will be available in Grey, Black, and Gold color options. It is powered by a 1.5 GHz octa-core processor which supported by  64-bit MediaTek MT6750 chipset paired with Mali-T860 GPU and 2GB of RAM. It packs a 16GB of inbuilt storage which can be expanded via microSD card up to 64GB.

For optics, the S1 flaunts a 13-megapixel primary autofocus camera with f/2.0 aperture, LED flash and 1080p video recording at 30fps. It has a 5-megapixel front-facing camera for selfie and video calling. The Blu S1 also comes equipped with a front fingerprint sensor embedded in the Home button along with the quick unlock the device.

The handset runs on Android 7.0 Nougat operating system and a 2800mAh battery out of the box. It supports dual SIM slot with dual standby, For connectivity includes 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS, A-GPS, Bluetooth 4.0 micro USB 2.0 and 3.5 mm audio jack options. The device measures 147.3 x 72.8 x 8.4mm and weighs 137 grams.
