US firm Blu has launched a budget Android smartphone called Grand X. The big highlight of the low-priced Blu smartphone is its metal housing and its 5-inch HD display. The Blu Grand X price in UK is about only £59.99, and the company has partnered with Amazon.co.uk to make it exclusively available on the e-commerce site.
Blu Grand X Specifications
The Blu Grand X features a 5.0-inch IPS LCD display with HD (720×1280 pixels) resolution that can convey a pixel density of 294ppi. The smartphone is powered by a 1.3 GHz quad-core processor that’s backed by the MediaTek MT6580 chipset coupled with Mali-T400 GPU and 1GB of RAM. It comes with 8GB of inbuilt storage, which is further expandable via microSD card up to 32GB.
On the camera front, this Blu Phone sports a 5-megapixel autofocus rear camera with LED flash, while there is a secondary a 5-megapixel front-facing camera also with front LED flash and able to record HD (1080p) video at 30fps, which can be considered the highlight of the handset at this price point. The Blu Grand X case design made of all high-grade metal with electrolyzed finish provides an aesthetically pleasing and back top and bottom with textured portion gives it more classic look.
The dual-SIM (GSM+GSM) based Blu Grand X phone runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow out-of-the-box. On the connectivity front, the device offers 3G HSPA+, GPS, A-GPS, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Micro-USB, Bluetooth 4.0, and 3.5mm audio jack options.
