Blackmagic URSA Mini camera with 4.6K recording and dynamic range 15 stops announced at NAB 2015

Blackmagic has officially introduced the URSA Mini camera, is the reduced version of the standard Blackmagic URSA. The power of the Blackmagic 4K Cinema Camera is located in the new 4.6K Super 35 sensor, giving URSA mini wide dynamic range up to 15 stops.

The company said it was the Ursa Black Magic camera used world’s lightest Super 35 sensor and you can use daily by hand without any problems. To gain weight up to 2.3kg, Blackmagic URSA mini has made from a magnesium alloy. On the photography strength, the camera is equipped with two types of shutter such as Rolling shutter and Global shutter for various circumstances. The sensor type of Super 35 4.6K resolution, can record video 4.6K (4608 x 2592) at 60fps when using rolling shutter and 30fps when using global shutter.

The Blackmagic URSA mini can also record FullHD video at 160fps thanks to new 4.6K sensor, while the old URSA sensor not able to do. All videos are shot in RAW format or Apple ProRes 12bit. Regarding connectivity, URSA Mini 12G-SDI Out ports, the transfer rate of up to 12GB / s to serve the needs of 4.6K RAW video production out. It has built-in microphone for prevention and integrated GPS to record the location perform video or image.

In addition to 4.6K version, URSA Mini also comes with a little lower configuration version with 4K sensor, no global shutter and dynamic range just 12 stops.
