Barnes & Noble launched Nook GlowLight Plus e-Reader with Water and Dust proof Aluminum Body

The B&N (Barnes & Noble) has introduced their first water and dust resistant IP67 standards E-reader called Nook GlowLight Plus, priced at $129.99. It houses made of aluminum casing, No ads, scratch-resistant 6-inch E-ink screen with backlit for night viewing, resolution of 1430×1080 pixels and a pixel density of 300ppi is double then the older version of the NOOK GlowLight E Reader. This new B&N Nook GlowLight Plus bears a 4GB of internal memory, measures 163.6×119.6x 8.6mm and weighs 195 grams.

This new Barnes & Noble Nook GlowLight Plus features multiple profile function so all family members can be used their own accounts for it. The B&N said this is the best Nook of them now, highly durable and you can take it with you in the swimming pool or bathroom without worrying about water splash on the device.

And like the Amazon Kindle, the battery life of the Barnes & Noble NOOK GlowLight Plus is also very long, up to 6 weeks after just one single charge thanks to the E-ink screen to save battery (30 minutes per-day reading, brightness up to 30%, turn off Wi-Fi). It has anti-glare type screen which rated high for readability in the sunlight, when reading at night, the adjustable brightness backlight system and user can also change the font preference.

A new feature is also added called NOOK Profiles allows you to create multiple accounts on the same device very helpful to use with multiple members of the family, each will have its own bookstore and a customizable interface for compliance with their age and interests.
