Asus Zenfone Go 5.5 with 8MP Camera and 2GB RAM Launched in Japan

Asus Zenfone Go 5.5 has been quietly launched in Japan. It is the new variant in the Go series with a larger screen and a different processor. Asus has already two variants of the Asus Zenfone Go includes Zenfone Go 5″ and Zenfone Go 4.5″ screen sizes were launched back in 2015 in India. Asus Zenfone Go 5.5 price in Japan is 21,384 Yen – approximately $190 USD and shipping will starting from 2nd April 2016 in Japan.

The Asus Zenfone Go 5.5 (ZB551KL-BK16) sports a 5.5-inch IPS LCD display with HD 720 x 1280 pixels resolution that can deliver a pixel density of 267ppi. It is powered by a 1.4 GHz quad-core processor that’s fueled by 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 chipset with Adreno 305 GPU. The device packs in 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory which is expandable up to 32GB with the help of microSD card slot.

On the camera front, the Zenfone Go 5.5 features an 8-megapixel autofocus primary camera on the back with dual tone LED flash and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera to capture decent selfies and video chatting. Rear camera can shoot HD 720p videos.

The handset runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop with Asus Zen UI interface on top. It packs a 3010mAh battery under the hood that can deliver up to 12 hours of talk time and up to 514 hours of standby time. The phablet is 10.7 mm thick and weighs 160 grams. It has a dual SIM card slot on board along with 4G LTE connectivity, apart from 4G includes 3G, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS, A-GPS, Bluetooth 4.0, USB OTG, 3.5 mm audio jack and FM Radio connectivity options.
