Asus ZenBook Flip S UX370 is world’s thinnest Convertible Laptop

Asus at Computex 2017 in Taipei introducing new convertible laptop Asus ZenBook Flip S UX370, “world’s thinnest 2-in-1 convertible laptop”, said by the company. The laptop weighs 1.1 kg and 10.9mm thickness, while the weight is arrested in the needle of the balance 1.1 kilograms.

The key point of the new convertible device is its thin profile along with new minimal display bezels that the company is calling “NanoEdge,” are clear highlights for the new laptop. Inside it, there is the seventh-generation Core i7-7500 processor with Kaby Lake architecture, coupled with 1TB SSD.

Most worthy to mention is the new cooling system, which is also optimized to reduce the thickness without compromising performance. New “liquid-crystal-polymer fan” that’s just 0.3mm thin to keep the system cool.

Display is 13.3-inches with 4K resolution along with NanoEdge” bezels, the laptops look like 14-inch machines despite packing 15-inch screens. It’s surrounded by a 6.11mm bezel on the vertical sides, supports active stylus input. There is also a fingerprint sensor (16 x 3.6 mm) – also defined by Asus as the smallest integrated sensor into a convertible laptop which also useful to exploit Windows Hello, the integrated authentication system in the Windows 10 OS.

The Asus ZenBook Flip S will start at $1,099 when it retails in September.
