Asus ZenBook 30 Edition, ZenBook 13, ZenBook 14 and ZenBook 15 Laptops at Computex 2019

The Asus ZenBook Laptop family is completely renewed at Taipei Computex 2019. The main innovations are the adoption of the new eighth generation Intel U series processors (Whiskey Lake), the arrival of NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 GPUs (on the larger model, the new ScreenPad 2.0 and an even more optimized design that guarantees a 95% screen-to-body ratio. In total there are four models: Asus ZenBook 13 (UX334), ZenBook 14 (UX434), ZenBook 15 (UX534), (exact display diagonals are: 13.3, 14 and 15.6 inches respectively) and the special edition Asus ZenBook 30 Edition (UX334FL), which celebrates the thirtieth anniversary of the company.

ScreenPad is one of the most interesting innovations of the last period: instead of a normal trackpad, there is a real touch display, which guarantees a much higher versatility. For example, it is possible to make a numeric keypad appear, activate handwriting recognition, record and execute macros and much more (developers can make their software compatible using the special APIs prepared by ASUS. The new ScreenPad is wider: it has a 5.65-inch diagonal size. The new graphics interface was designed to resemble that of smartphones so that users can use it more easily. The efficiency of the system has also been considerably improved: Asus declares that with ScreenPad 2.0 battery life is 2.5 times higher than the first generation.

The new ZenBooks mount the eighth-generation Intel Core processors up to i7; ZenBook 15 supports up to the NVIDIA GTX 1650 Max-Q GPUs, while the other three come to the MX250. In all cases, the maximum RAM amounts up to 16GB, while Wi-Fi is class AC. Asus declares battery life more than enough to cover an entire day’s work: 14 hours for the ZenBook 13 and 14, 17 hours for ZenBook 15.

The NanoEdge display has a bezel-less design on all four edges; Asus says that the overall dimensions of laptops are the most contained in the world for the respective category/diagonal of the display. On the finish side, the housing is colored in Royal Blue anodized aluminum, while in contrast, we find the gold Asus logo on the lid and the key-shaped legends in pink gold. The ErgoLift hinge returns, which lifts the keyboard when the device is open, making typing more comfortable and helping to dissipate heat.

Asus ZenBook 30 Edition has an even more prestigious packaging: the case is covered with genuine Italian pearly white leather, while the thirty-year logo is in 18-carat pink gold. The equipment is completed by a genuine leather case, a box and a mouse pad with a leather-like look, and a pearly white mouse.
