Asus VivoBook S14 With 14-inch Display, 8th Gen. Core I7 CPU Announced at IFA 2017

Asus has not only unveiled convertible laptops at IFA 2017, after renewed its 2-in-1 laptop series, the Taiwanese manufacturer also presents a more traditional ultrabook called new Asus VivoBook S14.

However, if it changes the category, leaving the convertible design and touchscreen display, the VivoBook S14 does not show any particular hardware differences compared to the ZenBook Flip 14, both share most of the hardware specifications. Even it has a 14-inch NanoEdge display with a FullHD (1920 x 1080) resolution. The metal chassis does not affect the weight of the device, which stands at around 1.3Kg, while the entire ultrabook is just 18.8mm thin. Inside it, we have the latest 8th Generation Intel Core i7-8550U processor, supported by the NVIDIA GeForce 150MX GPU, up to 16GB of DDR4 RAM and SSD up to 512GB.

Asus VivoBook S14 will be available in Icicle Gold or Star Grey colors, price and battery life has not yet been revealed, while we can confirm the presence of a fingerprint sensor located in the upper/right corner of the touchpad, dedicated to biometric authentication via Windows Hello.
