Asus ROG Strix is a completely new line up of the Republic of Gamers (ROG) series laptops and the company is beginning to merge two brands together. After launching the ROG Strix x99 gaming motherboard, ASUS is now set to release two new products named ROG Strix laptop – model name GL502 and ROG Strix Wireless gaming headset.
First, we sum-up with latest Asus ROG Strix GL502 Laptop features a 15.6-inch IPS display that comes in two different screen resolution including Full-HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) or 4K UHD, along with the G-Sync technology. The laptop is powered by an Intel Core i7-6700HQ or Core i7-6820HK Skylake processor clubbed with GeForce GTX 980M GPU with 8GB of GDDR5 memory. It packs in RAM up to 32GB DDR4-2133 RAM and high speed 512GB M.2 NVMe PCI-Express x4 SSD comes with 2TB hard drive.
On the connectivity front, the laptop includes 3x MicroUSB 3.0, 1x USB-C, HDMI 1.4, DisplayPort 1.2, GbE LAN, and a headphone-out/audio-in combo jack. It is 23.5 mm thick and weighs around 2.2 kg, the ideal number for a gaming laptop, high profile and discrete graphics.
Additionally, Asus also announced the ROG Strix Wireless Gaming headset that comes with a 15-meter range via 2.4GHz wireless technology and packs in 900mAh recharable battery that is rated to deliver playback time up to 10 hours. The wireless headset integrated with Sonic Studio audio software to process virtual 7.1 surround sound and also supports detachable uni-directional boom microphone with a 50Hz-16kHz frequency response, a rated sensitivity of -40 (+/- 3dB) and paired of 60mm Neodymium magnet speakers with a 20Hz-20kHz frequency response.
