Asus on Tuesday expanded its Republic of Gamers (ROG) range of gaming laptops by unveiling refreshed models with the latest 8th Generation Intel Core processors and ‘Aura Sync’ technology to help gamers customise lighting. The refreshed range includes the Asus ROG G703, Asus ROG Zephyrus M (GM501GI), ROG Zephyrus (Gx501GI), ROG Strix SCAR Edition, and ROG Strix Hero Edition.

The Asus Strix SCAR Edition gaming laptop start at $1,099 and is is now available for pre-order via Amazon.com and will be released on April 16, 2018.

Asus ROG Strix Hero Edition Specifications
To deliver a competitive edge in Multiplayer Online Battle Arena (MOBA) games, Asus has brought the ROG Strix Hero Edition that is powered by an eighth-generation Core i7 processor up to 3.9GHz (Boost clock) and Nvidia GeForce 10-series graphics. It features a 120Hz display with wide-viewing technology and a 130-percent sRGB color gamut.
There is also a desktop-style keyboard with Asus’ Aura Sync, N-key rollover, and fast-actuating keys. The Strix Hero Edition gaming laptop packs NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti 4GB graphics, up to 32GB DDR4 memory, and up to 256GB SSD storage. It sports a 15.3-inch display with a fast 120Hz refresh rate, wide-view technology, a wide 94% NTSC (130% sRGB) color gamut and 3ms response.
There is also support for Aura Sync technology, which lets gamers customize and sync up light effects with Aura Sync-enabled gaming mice, headsets, keyboards and other peripherals. It comes with USB 3.1 Type-C, HDMI 1.4, Display port, and 3.5mm headphone. Connectivity features include 802.11ac Wave 2 Gigabit Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.2.
