Astell & Kern Diana is the latest in-ear headset made in collaboration with AK-JH. Diana is part of THE SIREN series, featuring three exclusive 3-Way 3-BA Drivers and created by Jerry Harvey himself. The product will be available in December for $699 and now available on Astell & Kern’s website.
Since joining together in 2014 and launching AK R03, the relationship between Astell & Kern and JH Audio has become increasingly tight. In this case, the AK-JH in-ear products are always high-end in terms of quality as well as price.
Diana is the latest addition to the company, the product of The Siren Series comes with many changes. The first point to emphasize is the Full Metal Body – meaning that the entire housing is made of metal instead of plastic as the products in this series before. JH and AK moved the production line to Korea to make it easier to customize the headset. So Diana is also made in Korea. According to Astell & Kern, this enables the company to better control its product quality and improve customer service. Diana marks Astell & Kern’s involvement in the design and manufacture of housing products. The entire casing of the product is made in CNC from monolithic aluminum.
Astell & Kern give Diana a completely different design than its predecessors. In particular, Acoustic Chamber Sound Bore design of Jerry Harvey Audio has been crafted and applied to Diana.
All the details are very well done, the logo of both AK and JH are engraved on the housing extremely impressive details. Diana is equipped with 3-Way 3-BA Drivers, although made in Korea, all of the drivers were studied in Orlando at Jerry Harvey. AK-JH’s hard-core fans can be assured of the audio quality of the 3-Way 3-BA Audio Driver, which is equipped with exclusive Freqphase Timephase and Waveguide technologies that promise to deliver crisp, clear sound.
Diana is equipped with two familiar battery connections. Included headphone cable – an 8 conductor wire, including 7N OCC pure copper and 4N OCC silver copper for the best transmission quality. Astell & Kern headphones are always equipped with a familiar 2.5mm balance connection. The company is also careful to include a 2.5mm to 3.5mm adapter for easy use. Comes with a beautiful carrying case and the product is expected to ship this month.
