New Archos Smartphones, Tablets, and Drones Launched at MWC 2017

During the Mobile World Congress 2017 event in Barcelona, ​​at the stand of Archos has been unveiled many new devices, including 55b Cobalt, 50b Cobalt, 55 Helium 4 Seasons, 50 Saphir, 55 Graphite, 55 Diamond Selfie, and 60 Platinum Archos Smartphones; 101b Oxygen, and 133 Oxygen Tablets; and a new model of Archos Drone, as well as mini drone called PicoDrone.

Archos 55b Cobalt and 50b Cobalt

Archos 55b Cobalt features a 5.5-inch IPS display with HD (1280×720 pixels) resolution, 1.1 GHz quad-core processor from Qualcomm, 2600mAh battery and support for dual SIM. New Archos Smartphones also packed in 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage which can be expandable up to 64GB using a microSD card, the rear camera is 1a 3-megapixels with autofocus and LED flash and the front camera is 2-megapixel. The Archos 50b Cobalt features a 5.0-inch IPS LCD display with HD (1280×720 pixels) resolution, while the rest of the specifications are similar to the 55b Cobalt. Both devices also feature a 4G LTE functionality.

Archos 55 Helium 4 Seasons and 50 Saphir

Archos 55 Helium 4 Seasons features a 5.5-inch HD display; 2700mAh battery capacity; Dual SIM-cards, 1GB RAM and 16GB of internal memory, expandable up to 128GB via a microSD-card. Coming to the performance of the smartphone, it stocks a 1.3 GHz quad-core processor from MediaTek. Archos 55 Helium 4 Seasons also got an 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 2-megapixel front camera. The company also introduced the Archos 50 Saphir rugged smartphone. It comes with a 5.0-inch HD display covered with Gorilla Glass 4, a 1.5 GHz quad-core MediaTek processor and dual SIM support. For long time usage, it packs in a 5000mAh battery; 2GB of RAM and 16GB of expandable storage up to 128GB. For optics, there us a 13-megapixels rear camera with autofocus and LED flash; and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. Archos 55 Graphite and 55 Diamond Selfie

Archos 55 Graphite features a 5.5-inch HD display with 2.5D glass on top of it, a 1.5 GHz quad-core processor from MediaTek, 2GB RAM and 16GB of expandable storage up to 128 GB. Archos Smartphones also feature a 13-megapixels rear camera with flash and 5-megapixel front camera. The device also received 3000mAh battery and Android Marshmallow. 7

The Archos 55 Diamond Selfie features a 16-megapixel rear and 8-megapixel front camera with flash, 1.4 GHz octa-core Qualcomm processor; a 5.5-inch IPS LCD display with Full HD (1920×1080 pixels) resolution; and a 3000mAh battery and runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow.

Archos 60 Platinum

The Archos 60 Platinum features a 6.0-inch IPS display with Full HD (1280×720 pixels) resolution, a 1.3 GHz quad-core processor from MediaTek, 3000mAh battery capacity, 1GB of RAM and 16GB of expandable storage up to 32 GB. Archos 60 Platinum

Archos 60 Platinum completed with an 8-megapixels rear and a 2-megapixels front camera, dual SIM slots, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS and running Android 6.0 Marshmallow.

Archos 101b Oxygen and 133 Oxygen

Apart from Archos Smartphones, the company also introduced the Archos 101b Oxygen Tablet, which comes with a 10.1-inch IPS display with Full HD (1920×1080 pixels) resolution, a 1.3 GHz quad-core MediaTek processor; 2GB of RAM, and 32GB of expandable storage up to 64GB. The tablet also comes with a 5-megapixel rear and 2-megapixel front camera, and 7000 mAh battery capacity. 5

Unlike the previous model, Archos 133 Oxygen tablet is now more advanced with a 1.0 GHz octa-core Rockchip processor; 2GB of RAM, 64GB of expandable storage up to 128GB, as well as giant 10000mAh battery. The tablet is equipped with a 13.3-inch IPS display with a Full HD (1920×1080 pixels) resolution, a 5-megapixel rear and 2-megapixel front camera; and runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow.

Archos Drone and PicoDrone

As part of the MWC 2017, Archos also unveiled two new drones: Archos Drone and Archos PicoDrone is a mini-drone, weighs 135 grams, and weighs 23.2 grams, respectively. Archos Drone

Archos Drone equipped with four cameras with a resolution of 1-megapixel and HD (1280×720 pixels) video recording, 4GB of memory (microSD). Maximum up speed is 3.6 km/h and a maximum horizontal 25.2 km/h. The model is supplemented with an accelerometer, a gyroscope, and a 500mAh battery that provides approximately 9 minutes of flying time.

While the Archos PicoDrone Maximum horizontal speed is 15.6 km/h and a maximum vertical – 4 km/h. PicoDrone equipped with a VGA camera with 640×480 pixels video recording and a 200mAh battery, so user can expect a fly time about 8 minutes. 2

Both Archos Drones are controlled via the company’s own applications – Archos Drone Remote.
