Philips will soon update the release of Android TV Oreo for its Android TV starting from November this year. It will start with a sample of a few thousand devices so that we can immediately identify and solve any problems. In fact, Philips considers the stability of all products to be a priority.
Philips will start with the models released in 2016 or all those identified with an acronym ending with the suffix “01”. It will then go to 2017, then with the suffix “02” and will end with the 2018 range, the one marked with the suffix “03”. Dual-tuner TVs will be updated last. The process will end between the end of the year and the first quarter of 2019.
Support for the Amazon Alexa voice assistants and Google Assistant will also be introduced with Android TV Oreo.
