Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K Now More Powerful With New Alexa Voice Remote

Amazon renews it multimedia Fire TV Stick, two years after the announcement of the 2nd Gen model. After the substantial hardware event on September 20, which has significantly expanded the Alexa powered devices of the online shopping giant. New Fire TV Stick 4K with all-new Alexa Voice Remote renewed in both internal components and accessories.

The Fire TV Stick 2018 model is equipped with a new quad-core processor with 1.7GHz core frequency that should improve performance, especially in streaming and content loading time. According to data reported by Amazon, the speed increased up to 80 percent compared to the previous model. Added to this is a renewed antenna system along with the 802.11 ac WiFi interface to improve the 4K streaming.

For the rest, it is always a key that can play movies at the highest 4K resolution, like the previous model, but now the support for HDR standards is even more complete with the arrival of Dolby Vision, which is added to the HDR10+ and HDR10. On the audio front, support for the Dolby Atmos standard is reported.

Even the Alexa Voice Remote has been revised: it is equipped with a Bluetooth interface and a multi-directional infrared sensor that makes it suitable for the control of a wider range of domestic devices, from TV to audio-video systems. Of course, it is always possible to use it to give voice commands to the Alexa voice assistant. The remote control also now integrates the keys for volume adjustment (level and mute) and on / off.

The new Fire TV Stick 4K has been already up for pre-orders at a price of $49.99 with the first deliveries scheduled for October 31st in the US. It will be released on November 14th in the United Kingdom, Germany, and India, and will arrive in Japan later this year. The package includes the Alexa Voice Remote remote that can also be purchased separately for $29.99 or Fire TV Cube bundle at $129.99.
