Amazon Echo Show 5 Smart Display With Alexa, Video Call, Multi-room support Launched

It was in the air for a few days and finally, Amazon unveiled the new Echo Show 5, the small display with an integrated speaker that goes to add to the large Amazon Echo family. A device that should have the same general features and functioning as Show 10 but we cannot confirm you at the moment.

The news was not spread because Amazon has now opened the product page, but has not officially announced the device. What is certain is that Echo Show 5 is on offer launch at $89.99 on Amazon and will be available from June 26th.

Echo Show 5 obviously offers all the Alexa features, a button that controls a physical shutter for the front camera, along with a button that turns off the microphone as well. The users will also soon be able to delete voice recordings and any Amazon records of what was said with a simple command. A good quality sound system with multi-room support and the possibility of using it in combination with other Echo products. Do not miss a front camera for video calling and a display that can play video content from different sources.

The newest member of the Echo line-up features a 5.5-inch 960×480-pixels screen, a 1-megapixel camera, and a single full-range 1.65-inch speaker. It offers much of the same functionality and features as the high-end device. It will be available in two white and black color options. The Echo Show 5 is powered by a MediaTek MT8163 chipset and connects to the Internet using Wi-Fi. The speaker is also Bluetooth-enabled to function as a regular wireless speaker with compatible devices such as smartphones, tablets, and computers.
