Amazon Dash Wand With Alexa: Say, Scan and Order

As we all know Amazon is very committed to developing new technologies that facilitate better search experience and purchasing new products on its platform. Recently, we saw the Amazon Dash button or Echo, and now the online giant presenting the next generation Dash Wand with Alexa.

Amazon Dash Wand With Alexa

Amazon Dash Wand is a small device – around 15 centimeters, with a magnet so you can easily stick it to your fridge and also has a loop so you can hang it in your kitchen. It is also water-resistant so don’t be afraid of liquids. It includes a microphone, and a barcode scanner, and connects to your home network through Wi-Fi and Bluetooth support as well.

So, how Amazon Dash Wand works, when you want to purchase any of the household items, say, soap, you can just say “soap” or a particular brand name into the Dash Wand or use the barcode scanner on it to scan the barcode on the back of your soap lists. Amazon will use that information to add the item to your cart. This lets you conveniently add items that you may be running out of in your house as soon as you notice them instead of waiting for when you may be near your phone or computer and risk forgetting about it entirely. Also, because the Dash Wand has Alexa, you can use it as a mini Amazon Echo as well.

The Dash Wand price is $20, but when you purchase the product you also get $20 store credit and a free 90-day trial of AmazonFresh service as well. Even more interesting, it comes with a built-in Alexa assistant and a speaker, so you can also use it for different purposes – search for the ingredients of a recipe, or ask the weather and more. In short, an Amazon Echo “mini” for free. Not bad, right?
