Amazon now has an affordable flash for Nikon and Canon DSLRs at a cost of only $27.99. Actually, this flash is under AmazonBasics brand that brings popular and low-cost products to meet basic needs of the user in a various segments. Most of these are third party outsourced products manufactured under agreements with Amazon, Amazon’s part is just to stamp their brands on those products.
Back to the fairly cheap AmazonBasics flash model that Amazon is selling, it is based on the Flash Godden VT560 has been priced at $65 but is twice cheaper than the listed price. At this price, those who have the need for first-time experience or a combination of the use of removable flash will feel much more comfortable.
This AmazonBasics flash also has three modes: M, S1 and S2 (corresponding to Manual, Slave 1 and Slave 2 modes), Manual lets you mount the flash to your camera’s hot shoe and trigger it by pressing your camera shutter. S1 mode lets you place the flash off-camera and trigger it optically by firing a master flash unit. S2 mode is similar to S1, except the flash will be triggered by the master flash’s second flash.
