Amazfit Watch 2 is the new sportswatch introduced by the Chinese Huami, and it will be available in two variants including Watch 2 and Watch 2S. Both variants come with a design that combines sportiness with elegance. Specifically, this is the second generation of the Amazfit sportswatch, which will be available to buy at a price of CNY – 999 – approximately $150 for the Amazfit Watch 2 model and CNY 1,499 – approximately $226 for Amazfit Watch 2S.
Both Amazfit smartwatches offer a 3D carbon fiber housing and a 1.34-inch display, protected by 2.5D sapphire crystal glass on Watch 2S variant only. Both sports watches are able to monitor various sports activities, including swimming, thanks to the presence of integrated GPS capable of detecting up to 11 different sports activities, including walking, running, horse riding, swimming, mount tracking, triathlon and cross country.
With the active GPS, Amazfit Watch 2 can guarantee up to 35 hours of battery life, while in everyday use the battery can last up to 5 days. There are also smart features that allow you to receive notifications directly on your wrist, to monitor the connected smart devices of your home, to monitor your sleep, to make payments via Alipay and to manage your music playlist.
For monitoring of physical activity, Huami collaborated with Firstbeat to provide useful information on heart rate, recovery times, recommended workouts and VO2 max level.
