XPG – gaming brand of ADATA has recently announced its first gamer laptop named ADATA XPG XENIA, which is now officially available to buy in US. It is not surprising that a company like ADATA is specializing in RAM, SSDs, but it is surprising that it also uses the same chassis with many other models.
The XPG XENIA is advertised by ADATA as designed in cooperation with Intel to optimize system performance. The gaming notebook is equipped with an Intel Core i7-9750H 6-core, 12-thread processor, up to 4.5 GHz with GeForce RTX 2070 Max-Q or GeForce GTX 1660 Ti. Thus, XPG XENIA will target the high-end laptop gaming segment.
In fact, when looking at the design of this laptop for gaming, we feel how familiar it is because, in addition to having the XPG logo, the size is 15.6-inch, the chassis design with heat sink, equipped with a mechanical keyboard. The thin bezel and modification of the RGB strip at the front edge make it look like the Schenker XMG Fusion 15, Maingear Element 15, Eluktronics MAG 15 or Aftershock Vapor 15 – all of them are derived from the foundation of Tongfang ODM is basically the hardware design of an Intel-optimized machine called Intel white label – unlabeled, which can be bought and customized to sell with its own brand.
Therefore, this XPG XENIA is still equipped with the characteristics of this chassis platform such as the weight of only 1.85 kg, 20.5 mm long, and the 15.6-inch screen with a slim 4.9 mm edge design for 85% screen-to-body ratio, FHD IPS display, and 144 Hz refresh rate.
The XPG XENIA keyboard is also similar to those of Schenker, Maingear models are Optical Mechanical Keyboard, 0.2 ms response rate, custom RGB light on each key. In addition, it also has RGB front strip lights that sync with the keyboard.
The difference between XPG XENIA and other chassis models is that it is equipped with ADATA’s “things” like XPG DDR4-2666 32 GB standard RAM and award-winning SX8200 Pro PCIe Gen3x4 M.2 2280 SSD with PCIe Gen3x4 and NVMe 1.3 support, also offers read/write speeds of up to 3500/3000MB per second.
XPG XENIA is equipped with a quality connection system including 1 x USB3.2 Gen 2×1, 2 x USB3.2 Gen 1, 1 x Thunderbolt 3, 1 x HDMI, 1 x RJ45, Wi-Fi 6 AX200, Gigabit Ethernet, Bluetooth 5.1, SD card reader and 2 audio+ mic jacks.
