Acer Swift 7 2019 Ultrabook par excellence of the manufacturer has been renewed at CES 2019: the dimensions are further reduced, thanks to the adoption of a hidden camera, new generation processors and passively dissipated, but the ultra-portable nature of the device remains intact.
The new model (code SF714-52T) also uses a 14-inch IPS Full HD (920×1080) touchscreen display, distinguished by an impressive 92% screen-body ratio, 00 nits of brightness and a Gorilla Glass 6 protection.
Acer Swift 7 2019 weighs only 890 grams, the thickness is less than 1cm (317.9 x 191.5 x 9.95 mm) while the chassis is composed of two different magnesium alloys able to make it very resistant and looking particularly premium. As for the hardware side, Acer has implemented the new eight-generation Intel Core processors of the Y series (Intel Core i7-8500Y) with fanless design, so no cooling fans.
The rest of the equipment includes 8GB/16GB of LPDDR3 RAM, a 256GB/512GB SSD depends on the configuration, two Thunderbolt 3 USB-C ports, a backlit keyboard and a power button that also works as a fingerprint reader with Windows Hello. Swift 7 2019 promises about 10 hours of battery life.
Completing the equipment is the DisplayPort 1.2 output, Intel Wireless-AC chip, Bluetooth 5.0, audio jack, Corning Gorilla Glass touchpad, a push-to-open webcam that can be kept closed to prevent inadvertent use of the camera and to protect privacy. Finally, the keyboard provides excellent feedback, thanks to well-spaced keys from each other and equipped with a 1.1 mm stroke.
Acer Swift 7 2019 will be available in Europe during the month of April at a price of $1,699, according to the release on the official website (link below under the Source heading).
