A new gaming monitor from Acer named Predator X38 P has appeared at a Chinese online retailer. This new 144hz monitor is aimed at high-end gamers with its price and impressive specifications.
With the new Acer Predator X38 P, the company seems to be launching a new gaming monitor soon, which clearly targets the high-end segment with its price and specifications. This became known today as a Chinese online retailer has listed the new 4K monitor in the store.
The curved monitor with a 37.5-inch IPS panel has a resolution of 3840 x 1600 pixels, resulting in a 24:10 screen ratio. The display can be controlled with up to 175hz via overclocking, and a 1ms response time, which are very impressive values with the IPS technology used, since such panels are generally slower than comparable TN displays.[Best Gaming Monitor 2019: Buying Guide]
It will be exciting to see whether the manufacturer’s specifications can be met in terms of reaction time in practice. The 144hz monitor can also convince in terms of brightness and contrast, at least on paper with 450 cd/m², 1000:1 contrast ratio, a 10-bit color depth, and 98% DCI-P3 color space.
In terms of price, the Acer Predator X38 P gaming monitor has been priced at CNY 13,299 – approximately $1889. The device should make its way to the US, it will probably be a bit more expensive here.
Although the public appearance in an online store is a pretty clear indication, it should be noted again that this is not yet confirmed by the manufacturer’s information.
