Acer Predator Triton 900 is the 2-in-1 convertible and most flashy laptop that the Taiwanese manufacturer brings to IFA 2018. The belonging to the Predator line confirms the nature of a device intended for the most demanding gamers, but unlike the previous Triton 700, the new model is a 2-in-1 convertible.
The screen can rotate up to 360 degrees on the horizontal axis: a solution that allows both to bring it closer to the player’s eyes, while using the Triton 900 as it does with any other traditional laptop, and to take advantage of the tablet mode (completing the 360 degrees rotation and closing the display on the keyboard).
The technical features of the Acer Predator Triton 900 were only partially revealed during the presentation keynote: the 4K resolution display was confirmed, capable of exploiting Nvidia’s G-Sync technology, and there is a heat dissipation system and based on a fourth generation AeroBlade 3D double fan.
The mechanical keyboard, with low-pass keys and a touchpad with an integrated numeric keypad that can be activated and deactivated when necessary, adds value to the whole.
As we can see in the promotional videos, the device is devoted to gaming, the design is also very attractive and the elements that most affect is represented by the hinge system that allows you to open and to rotate the screen – Acer emphasizes that they are made with a CNC machining. More detailed information on weight and dimensions (including the screen) are missing.
The detailed data sheet has not yet been communicated by Acer that has not even unbuttoned on the release date and price.
