Acer introduces an updated version of the Nitro 5 2018 15-inch laptop. The new model has AMD Ryzen mobile processor and AMD Radeon RX560 graphics card. It will be available in US from April with an indicative price of US$799.
Acer Nitro 5 2018 is a mid-range gaming laptop, designed for the occasional gamers as well as for those who need to use the laptop in graphic productivity contexts. This new version with Ryzen CPU uses DDR4 RAM up to 32 GB, SSD storage up to 512GB and the Acer NitroSense software suite for the management and maintenance of frequencies, temperatures and noise levels of CPU and GPU. This Nitro line of Acer laptops uses two fans and different heat-pipes for heat dissipation.

The Nitro 5 2018 keyboard is backlit in red and includes the numeric keypad.
Even its frame does not change: the shapes are similar to 2017 edition, but now with a brushed metal finish to a material that resembles carbon fiber effect. The dimensions are 390 x 266 x 26.75 mm and weigh 2.7 kg. At writing time, there is no definitive information on the battery capacity, but judging from the datasheet it could be a 3220mAh.
