Along with the Swift 3 and Swift 1 laptops, Acer at the Next@Acer event in New York also announced the new wearable device called Acer Leap Ware smartwatch dedicated to fitness enthusiasts. It is characterized by the circular shape display, enclosed in a stainless steel case with the burnished finish. Inside it is the MediaTek MT2523 chipset and MediaTek MT2511 bio-sensing chip.
The screen has a diameter of 42mm and is protected by Gorilla Glass SR+ that ensures a good resistance to scratches. There is the IPX7 water resistance offers accidental exposure to water up to one meter deep for up to 30 minutes. Acer Leap Ware is able to detect a range of vital signs, from heartbeat, to reach the levels of stress and fatigue, and exposure to ultraviolet rays, mentioned by the manufacturer. It has a built-in LED light which illuminates at the press of a button. The company has claimed that it offers up to 3 to 5 days of battery life.
