Acer Chromebook 11 in two variants has been officially announced at CES 2018. Acer made available Chromebook with an 11.6-inch screen and Google Play support at the event. The model called CB311-8HT with touchscreen or CB311-8H without a touchscreen and will be available from March with a starting price of US$ 249 for the basic model.
Acer Chromebook 11 2018 edition uses the latest Intel Celeron processors (we don’t yet have accurate information, but should be the Apollo Lake chips) on a fanless chassis. It has 4GB of RAM, 16GB or 32GB of eMMC storage (expandable with microSD), two USB-C 3.1 Gen 1 ports for data, charging and video output, Wi-Fi-ac, Bluetooth 4.2 and two Type-A USB ports of type 3.0. The screen resolution is a 1366 x 768 pixel and IPS display panel with integrated HDR webcam and stereo sound.
All in 1.1 kg with 18 mm thick frame. Acer declares 10 hours of battery life, and of course Chrome OS, which can also run Android Apps. The Acer Chromebook lineup resumes those of other Acer laptops, and have a slimmer, less rugged and finally, the chromatic combination between the opaque dark gray and the streaked blue was successful.
